Growing up in nearby Whittier, I am a true Southern California native. I hold Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Political Science from San Diego State University. I am also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Attracted by the excellent schools, we moved to Arcadia in 2002. My children attended Hugo Reid, Foothills Middle School, and Arcadia High School. I have been active in AEF for more than 20 years, serving as past President, Vice President, and Treasurer. I also continue to support the Arcadia Music Club - Go Percussion!

My parents were both public school teachers, who together gave over 60 years of service to students and their families in the Whittier Union School District. In my youth, I spent many summers helping my parents to develop and assemble materials for their classrooms. Continuing the family tradition, my youngest daughter is beginning her 9th year of teaching (4th grade).
